One thing you should know about flyers is, as simple as they may be, if
designed and used correctly; they can and will be very effective when
promoting your home business.
Here are a few guidelines you should follow when creating a flyer:
• Use 4x5
document size- this is a great size:
• save on paper by printing four flyers per sheet of paper
• they are easy to handle
• don't take up all the room on the bulletin boards
• and can be conveniently placed on counters,
tables etc...
• just enough text to make them want to go to your
website
• Use a glossy
or semi-glossy style of paper:
• more appealing then plain paper
• saves on ink when printing from home
• Make sure all
text is legible
• smallest font size to use is 8pt
• use good contrast between background and text
